Professorship


NIDI researcher and head of the Social Demography department Kène Henkens has been appointed as Professor in Sociology of Retirement at Tilburg University as of December 1, 2009.

Eurostat - Atlas on mortality in the European Union - 2009


Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities, recently issued the publication Health statistics - Atlas on mortality in the European Union, 2009 edition. The publication describes the situation regarding mortality in the Member States of the European Union. This publication was prepared by Corina Huisman, Luc Bonneux and editorioal assistance of Jeannette van der Aar from NIDI.
