This study aims to gain more insight into the labour potential of recently retired workers. The main research question is to what extent retirees are inclined to re-enter the labour force and which are the main restrictions to increase their participation in work. This study started in January 2009 and is financed by the Raad voor Werk en Inkomen (RWI). The project will be coordinated by the Organization for Strategic Labour market Research (OSA) and will consist of a survey carried out by NIDI, qualitative research carried out by OSA and desk research on existing rules and regulation regarding work and retirement carried out by the Expertise Centrum LEEFTIJD.
