Infant mortality

The map below shows the regional distribution of the infant mortality rates in the Netherlands by municipality in the period 1841-1939. Infant mortality rates are available for the periods 1841-1860, 1861-1874, 1875-1884, 1885-1894, 1895-1903, 1904-1913, 1914-1923, 1924-1933 and 1934-1939.
Due to changing municipal boundaries (annual) infant mortality data were recalculated according to the municipal boundaries as of January 1, 1939. (no data are available for the municipality of Wieringermeer, since the area was drained only just in 1930; the municipality was formed in 1941)
