Tatiana Filatova (born in 1981) uses computer simulations to explore the relationship between economics and climate change science.
She studies the economic behaviour of individuals when confronted with the risks of climate change. A better understanding of human decision-making is needed to transform a policy on paper into a real willingness to change behaviour. Filatova, who has developed her own line of research, is eager to share academic knowledge with the general public and to help improve the position of young scientists.
Climate change economics. Computational social science. Resilient societies. Natural disasters and decisions under risk. Simulating behavioral change.
