Monika Schmid focuses on the development of bilingual language proficiency.
She is particularly interested in changes which occur in the native language of long-term migrants. She hopes to be able to shed more light on the nature of the human capacity for acquiring and using language, and approach questions such as the role of age for language acquisition.
